Ebook {Epub PDF} Milk-Blood by Mark Matthews

 · Milk Blood is blood taken from a drug addict who has heroin in their system to be injected into the taker. Horrendous concept, but it's happening. Described as suburban horror, this is writing at it's finest. Stunning. Clever, clever writing Mark Matthews! /5.  · Similar to Stray, Milk-Blood is semi-fictional in the sense that Matthews has worked as both a social worker and therapist which inspired this tale, and many real-life settings were also depicted in the book, such as Brentwood. Where Stray relied on emotion and drama to carry the plot forward, Milk-Blood relied on pure dread. Then comes the fire that burns down her home ALL SMOKE RISES begins with a bang. Milk-Blood by Mark Matthews. My rating: 5 of 5 stars. Yet again Mark Matthews has entertained me with a wildly wicked story. Milk-Blood is an Urban horror story (and horrifying it is) about drug addiction and life in the ghetto. In Milk-Blood, the story opens up to the birth of Lilly, setting the stage for her horrible life. Matthews brings us this raw, emotional novel that tugs at the reader's soul in every way possible. The use of milk-blood by heroin addicts--a practice of taking out drug-laden blood for later injections when pure heroin is not available--is frighteningly real. This is REAL HORROR, with some supernatural elements added to move the plot along.
